The system allows seafood companies who must comply with National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) regulations to report landings directly to the Standard Atlantic Fisheries Information System (SAFIS). This web based system allows the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to receive reports from registered dealers who are required to submit such reports if they fall under the requirements of 50 CFR 648.7 (a). Items must be an "S" type Item Info type in order for the fishing vessel fields to be accessed within Vendor.
